Working Papers on Culture, Education and Human Development is a international scientific and peer reviewed journal of scholarly contributions, integrating various aspects of the general notions of culture, education and human development according to a sociocultural approach mostly published by the Departament of Psychology of the Universitat de Girona. Original manuscripts are accepted in English or Spanish. A native speaker level of written expression is expected for all manuscripts in any of both languages. There are three types of articles admitted:
1) Theoretical analysis on culture, education and human development. In particular, papers inspired by a cultural, sociocultural and/or socioconstructivist points of view.
2) Research reports. Presentation and analysis of empirical data. The journal focuses on qualitative studies.
3) Social and/or Educational intervention experiences in formal and informal settings. Works that link culture, education and human development will be welcome.
The journal was established in 2005 with David Poveda of Universidad Autónoma de Madrid as the founding editor. The journal’s current editor-in-chief is Moisès Esteban-Guitart of Universitat de Girona, who succeeded David Poveda on September, 2015. The journal is included in the Directory of Directory of Open Access Journals, ERIC PLUS, EBSCOhost, Dialnet, Latindex (35 standards met), IN-RECS (2011, Quartile 2 (Q2) in EDUCATION category and PSYCHOLOGY category), DICE, ANEP/FECYT category: B, ISOC, and RESH (15 CNEAI standards met, 17 ANECA standards met).
